Who is a Candidate for Invisalign?

We take several factors into account when determining whether or not a patient is a good candidate for Invisalign. One of the most significant is age as we do not recommend Invisalign for any patient that is 12 years of age or younger. If their teeth and jaw are not yet finished developing, it’s not appropriate for them to complete a treatment like Invisalign (at least not initially).

Furthermore, you’ll have to remain committed to wearing the aligners for the required 20 to 22 hours a day. If you are not capable of sticking to this commitment, traditional braces could be a better option. If your orthodontic concerns are particularly severe, Invisalign may also be unable to address them on their own.
